I’m homeless or at risk of homelessness
At Link Wentworth, we understand how quickly life can spin out of control. For those who need urgent housing, we recommend calling the homeless services helpline ‘Link2Home’ on 1800 152 152.
If you are homeless or at risk of homelessness, we can help you find and secure a home, help get you back on your feet and connect with your community.
We can help you to find a private rental property, access rental assistance and help you apply for social or affordable housing.
We can also help you find the support you need to stabilise your situation, create a home and keep your home.
In the Nepean Blue Mountains area, we run specialist homelessness services and have caseworkers who can develop a support plan and link you with services and connections to help you get on top of other challenges you may be facing. Some of things they can help with are:
- Working with you to understand your situation and what is putting you at risk of homelessness
- Developing a support plan to help you deal with the challenges that are putting you at risk of homelessness. These might be your family circumstances, loss of income, health challenges or private rental problems
- Supporting you to manage these issues over time and stay in your home; or to find a new home that’s affordable and right for you
- Supporting you to maintain your home and to look after your health, manage your finances and rebuild your family and community connections.
Through our Assertive Outreach service, we come to meet you where you are staying – in your car, in a park, under a bridge, at your friend’s place – so we can best understand your circumstances and needs.
In other areas we can help by giving advice and referring you to specialist homelessness services to help you find temporary accommodation, and in some cases, a more permanent option.
The NSW Department of Communities and Justice also has some programs that can help you. Click here for more details.
For support in the Nepean Blue Mountains area call 02 4777 8041.
For all other areas call 02 9412 5111.

Our Nurreen service provides specialist support to women and children in the Hawkesbury who are experiencing or escaping domestic violence. We deliver this service in partnership with DV West. If you need a place to stay and stabilise your situation, we can help find temporary and short-term accommodation. We have one home that provides accommodation for up to twelve months. We can also help you to find a private rental property, access rental assistance and apply for social or affordable housing.
The service also provides domestic and family violence support to you if you remain in your own home.

Mosman House

I’m in a private rental
We can offer support if you are in the private rental market and at risk of eviction. The NSW Department of Communities and Justice also has some programs that can help you. Click here for more details.
If you are living in the Nepean, Hawkesbury or Blue Mountains areas, and are at risk of losing your rental property, we can help by:
- talking to your property manager to help you work through the issues in your tenancy
- creating a support plan to help with the problems that are putting your tenancy at risk
- sourcing financial assistance if you are behind in your rent.
