Link Wentworth extends our congratulations to Anthony Albanese— who grew up in social housing and is now the 31st Prime Minister of Australia. A great example that anything and everything is possible, no matter your background, race, sexuality, religion or otherwise.
We support Labor’s commitment to affordable housing and look forward to seeing some of their policies come to life, especially the Housing Australia Future Fund. For a refresher on the policies, our friends at CHIA NSW have pulled together a list of the promises, which you can read here.
We’d also like to take the opportunity to thank the outgoing government for their work in establishing the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) and acknowledge the positive impact this has made since its inception in 2018.
