Link Wentworth sponsors the AHURI National Housing conference

Link Wentworth sponsors the AHURI National Housing conference

In March 2022, Link Wentworth sponsored the AHURI National Housing Conference in Melbourne. We were pleased to have a number of our Board and staff, and Tenant Advisory Group (TAG) in attendance in person and online, and to officially launch our new brand video.

Link Wentworth sponsored the State of the Nation session, featuring the following speakers:

  • Ben Rimmer, CEO Homes Victoria
  • Professor Emma Baker, University of Adelaide
  • Nathan Dal Bon, CEO National Housing Finance and Investment Commision (NHFIC)
  • Heather Holst, Commissioner for Residental Tenancies Victoria
  • Rebecca Pinkstone, Bridge Housing CEO
  • Adrian Pisarki, Executive Officer of National Shelter

It was an insightful session drawing on the speaker’s observations of the challenges and lessons of the pandemic period for Australian housing.

Nathan Dal Bon speaking as part of the State of the Nation plenary, sponsored by Link Wentworth.

We particularly enjoyed Nathan Dal Bon (pictured above in the online stream) speaking about NHFIC’s support of CHPs. Dal Bon recognised the CHP sector’s unique ability to attract external investment due to the sector’s resilience, long term stability and closeness to tenants.

Delegates are able to watch the recorded sessions now. Click here for more information.

Link Wentworth featured at the conference.

Thank you to Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (AHURI) for a stimulating and worthwhile conference. It was extraordinary to hear from so many leaders from across the broader housing sector share their data and analysis, learnings, challenges, innovations, case studies, predictions, plans and advice.

Link Wentworth is proud to be part of a sector that is committed to delivering social and affordable housing to help the most vulnerable in our community and those increasingly at risk of housing stress and homelessness.
